Current-density functional theory for bosonic superfluids

چکیده

Abstract A finite-temperature current-density functional theory for bosonic superfluids (sf-CDFT) in the thermal equilibrium state is proposed herein. In sf-CDFT, hydrodynamic physical quantities, such as particle number density, current and order parameter of Bose–Einstein condensation, are chosen basic variables. This enables simultaneous reproduction densities both superfluid normal fluid components with incorporating effects interaction between these components. Specifically, determined by solving two single-particle equations, i.e., Gross–Pitaevskii–Kohn–Sham Kohn–Sham equations. Furthermore, using continuity equation superfluids, we present sum rule exchange-correlation energy which useful developing approximate form.

Time-Dependent Density-Functional Theory for Superfluids

A density-functional theory is established for inhomogeneous superfluids at finite temperature, subject to time-dependent external fields in isothermal conditions. After outlining parallelisms between a neutral superfluid and a charged superconductor, Hohenberg-KohnSham-type theorems are proved for gauge-invariant densities and a set of Bogolubov-Popov equations including exchange and correlati...

Stochastic time-dependent current-density-functional theory.

A time-dependent current-density-functional theory for many-particle systems in interaction with arbitrary external baths is developed. We prove that, given the initial quantum state |Psi0> and the particle-bath interaction operator, two external vector potentials A(r,t) and A'(r,t) that produce the same ensemble-averaged current density, j(r,t), must necessarily coincide up to a gauge transfor...

Current Densities in Density Functional Theory

It is well known that any given density ρ(x) can be realized by a determinantal wave function for N particles. The question addressed here is whether any given density ρ(x) and current density j(x) can be simultaneously realized by a (finite kinetic energy) determinantal wave function. In case the velocity field v(x) = j(x)/ρ(x) is curlfree, we provide a solution for all N , and we provide an e...
